University of Canberra Undergraduate Scholarship (UCUS)

The University of Canberra Undergraduate Scholarship (UCUS) are for current school leavers who achieve a "raw" ATAR of 99+ and who have accepted an offer of a place in their first undergraduate degree at the University of Canberra.

A current school leaver, in this instance, is someone who has completed year 12 in the year prior to UC study.

Value of Scholarships (Commencing 2016)

$8,000 per annum for 3 years of full time study or up to 4 years for a double degree. There will be no limit on the number on off er in any given year.

Eligibility

  • Recipients must be considered current school leavers (those who have completed year 12 in the preceding year);
  • must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents;
  • recipients must have ac hieved a 'raw' ATAR score of 99 and over. No bonus points or other such ranking will be considered; recipients must have accepted an offer of place and be intending to enrol into their first undergraduate degree at UC

Closing date

N/A. No application requ ired. Successful students will be notified at the commencement of their degree (Semester One or Semester Two)

Recipient Conditions

  • Recipients must maintain their enrolment as a full - time student during the term of the scholarship. Part time study may be c onsidered if exceptional circumstances can be demonstrated. In this case, tax must be withheld from the student payments;
  •  Recipients should maintain a minimum of a credit average and adhere to the University of Canberra's undergraduate policies and procedu res: https://guard.canberra.edu.au/policy/Academic/Progress . Recipients who do not maintain a credit average may have their scholarship withdrawn;
  •  recipients must commence study in the y ear awarded. Deferment of the scholarship offer is not available;
  •  Leave of Absence of the scholarship is allowed for up to one year maximum;
  •  The maximum duration of each scholarship is based on the duration of the course in which the student is enrolled or has applied into at the time of offer
  •  Students may undertake UC international exchange programs and still be eligible for the Scholarship

University of Canberra Chancellor's Scholarship for Academic Excellence

The UC Chancellor's Scholarships for Academic Excellence (UCAE) are for current school leavers who achieve a 'raw' ATAR of 95+ and who have accepted an offer of a place in their first undergraduate degree at the University of Canberra.

A current school le aver, in this instance, is someone who has completed year 12 in the year prior to UC study.

Value of Scholarships (Commencing 2015)

$5,000 per annum for 3 years of full time study or up to 4 years for a double degree

Eligibility

  • Recipients must be conside red current school leavers (those who have completed year 12 in the year prior to commencing study at UC);
  •  Must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents;
  •  Recipients must have achieved a 'raw' ATAR of 95 and over. No bonus points or other such rankin g will be considered;
  •  Recipients must have accepted an offer of place and be intending to enrol in their first undergraduate degree at UC.

In 2015, Federation Business School, Federation University Australia, will offer a generous scholarship for students coming from China, Vietnam and Thailand with an IELTS score of 6.5 or above.

Federation Business School at Federation University Australia recognises these students' achievement and will reward the dedication and talent of the highest achieving students.

The amount of the scholarship per program

  •   Students with an IELTS score of 7.0 (no band less than 6.5) wil l be awarded a scholarship of AUD$2,000
  •  Students with IELTS result of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0) will be awarded a scholarship of AUD$1,000

How do I apply?

Students will be notified of their scholarship eligibility when they apply, and will then need to c omplete and submit the scholarship application form (pdf, 76kb) . Upon enrolment into the Business program at the Mt Helen or Churchill Campus, student s will receive the set amount as a partial contribution towards payment of their program fees.

CDU scholarships

CDU offers a limited number of 25 per cent and 50 per cent tuition fee scholarships for international students who have a record of academic excellence and high achievement. The tuition scholarships apply to the tuition fees for the full duration of an U ndergraduate or Postgraduate coursework degree.

The scholarships are exclusively available to students commencing a degree at CDU, and are awarded on demonstrated academic merit.

Applications for Semester 2, 2016 close on 15 April 2016

Eligibility and Conditions

Eligible applicants must:

  • A demonstrated record of academic excellence and high achievement in previous relevant studies and qualifications
  • Must meet the University's academic and English entry requirement 
  • An unconditional offer (SVP cleared) of admission to the degree at CDU for Semester 2, 2016 
  • Not hold a scholarship from an Australian or foreign sponsoring agency
  • Submitted a completed application for the scholarship by 15 April 2016 for comme ncement in Semester 2, 2016 
  • Applicants must not hold a current Australian Citizenship, Australian Permanent Resident or New Zealand Citizenship

Conditions of the Scholarship

Scholarship conditions are:

  • Students must commence studies in Semester 2, 2016
  •  Stu dents must maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester in the degree at CDU, at a Credit average or better (65 – 75%) and with no fail grade in any subject
  • The tuition fee scholarship will be applied directly upon enrolment each semester
  • Students must pay the remaining balance of their tuition on or before the start of each semester
  • The scholarship is neither transferrable for cash, nor refundable and cannot be transferred to another person, course or year
  • Students must abide by the CDU (Student of the University) By - laws
  • Students must be paying international fees and not domestic fees
  • Students are required to inform the International Office via em ail international@cdu.edu.au of any visa status changes immediately as this may result in a termination of the scholarship

Please note: the VCIHAS scholarships are very competitive and meeting the minimum eligibility standards described above does not guarantee that you will be awarded a scholarship. All applicants who meet the minimum eligibility standards will be included in the selection process. The decision of the University selection panel is final

ACU scholarships

To celebrate the launch of the Master of Public Health in Melbourne, ACU will be awarding 10 scholarships valued at $4000 each.

  • 10 x $4000 scholarships
  • Open to applicants for the July 2016 intake in Melbourne
